The Neurotrauma Center team (part of the region’s only Level I trauma center) offers the most comprehensive treatment available. With a wide range of subspecialists consulting and neurosurgeons on call to provide immediate intervention, our team provides rapid assessment, diagnosis and treatment to get you on the path to recovery.

When it comes to neurotrauma, prevention is the best medicine. Still, accidents can happen in an instant. Rapid diagnosis and treatment are key to healing and recovery.
From surgery to recovery and rehabilitation, our neurotrauma team is dedicated to improving our patients’ quality of life using the newest technologies and therapies.
As part of the region’s Level I trauma center, our neurotrauma team has the resources needed for the most complex care, including in-house subspecialists, a dedicated operating room, research programs, extensive patient monitoring and the expertise to care for 1,200 severely injured patients every year.
Our center is built around physicians and nurses with subspecialized training in neurotrauma. With their only focus on traumatic brain and spine injuries, the team helps advance medical breakthroughs and are experts on the latest treatments available.
The neurotrauma team supports the complex recovery needs of traumatic brain or spine injury patients. Physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians work with other specialties to design therapies that help improve cognition, movement, speech, balance, and coordination and spasticity.
In partnership with the American Trauma Society (ATS), UC Health is committed to supporting trauma patients and their families by providing resources to navigate the road to recovery and to help improve their lives.
