Our expert teams work around the clock to monitor each patient’s unique brain activity and respond to needs quickly. Our Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NSICU) includes innovative technology to closely observe patient conditions, and a wide range of physician specialists on call to provide consultation and intervention as needed.

Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NSICU)
The UC Health Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NSICU) is designed to provide around-the-clock care for critically ill patients with neurological or neurosurgical disorders. This 20-bed unit is the largest and most technologically advanced ICU in our region, devoted to caring for patients with brain and spinal cord injuries, 24 hours a day.
