UC Medical Center and West Chester Hospital received several high-performing rankings from U.S. News & World Report and their 2023-24 national Best Hospital ratings.

Today, U.S. News & World Report released their 2023-24 ratings for ~4,500 best adult care hospitals. The publication’s annual Best Hospitals rankings and ratings, now in their thirty-fourth year, are designed to assist consumers and clinicians in making informed decisions about where to receive quality care for challenging health conditions or elective procedures.

This year, both UC Medical Center and West Chester Hospital received several high-performing rankings for procedures and conditions—including a five-consecutive-year ranking as high performing in heart failure-related care and outcomes.

UC Medical Center (Greater Cincinnati’s only Level I trauma center and referral destination for the most advanced cancer and neuroscience care and treatment) received high-performing ratings for superior care and procedures related to heart attack, heart failure, stroke, leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and lung cancer surgery.

West Chester Hospital (Level III trauma center, Certified Primary Stroke Center, and Magnet® hospital with convenient access to UC Health specialists in Butler County) received high-performing ratings for superior care and procedures related to heart attack, heart failure, and stroke.

UC Medical Center and West Chester Hospital were also recognized as 2023 Best Workplaces by Ohio Business Magazine. These ratings include letter grades on an A through F scale that are based on patient safety and patient experience-related data.

West Chester Hospital received an “A” grade, ranked as top third in the nation. UC Medical Center received a “B” grade, ranked as top 50% in the nation.
