Rheumatology

UC Health Rheumatology specializes in patients with arthritis or systemic conditions that affect any part of the body–often referred to as “connective tissue” or autoimmune diseases.

Primary care providers typically refer patients, but some patients refer themselves directly. Because we have a large number of physicians, we see patients promptly.

In Rheumatology, we see patients with the following medical conditions, including (but not limited to):

  • Systemic lupus
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Psoriatic arthritis
  • Scleroderma
  • Gout-induced arthritis
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Inflammatory muscle disease/inflammatory myopathy
  • Mixed connective tissue disease
  • Vasculitis and Polymyalgia Rheumatica
  • Peri-articular disorders – bursitis & tendonitis

As faculty members of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, UC Health rheumatologists remain on the forefront of the latest techniques and advancements in the field. As teachers and leaders of our specialty, we devote time and effort at staying up-to-date in our clinical practice.
