Diabetes Management Program Goes Hospital-Wide
DiabetesNow! was established at University of Cincinnati Medical Center in 2006 by a team of physicians, nurses and pharmacists to address a growing need for resources and education surrounding the care of diabetes and endocrinology inpatients. It offers intensive practitioner education and a protocol on insulin use, and establishes diabetes resource specialists for every unit in the hospital. This original program is just one example of the groundbreaking work at UC Health to improve patient care and treatment.
