Black American and Hispanic populations have roughly double the risk of brain hemorrhage, and at a younger age, compared to populations of European descent. Brain hemorrhage is a toxic, often deadly or highly disabling event, that leads to a wide variety of metabolic reactions and yet to date, a comprehensive evaluation of these reactions has not been performed. We propose to perform a comprehensive evaluation of the metabolic response from brain hemorrhage as well as to identify those metabolic responses that associate with outcomes.
