Bion-1301 For Adults With Iga Nephropathy (The Beyond Study)

Immunoglobulin A is an antibody (a protein in your blood that helps your body’s defenses by finding and attaching to foreign substances, like germs and protect you against them). IgAN is caused when your body’s defense system (immune system) does not work the way it is supposed to. Your body produces some abnormal immunoglobulin A antibodies which build up in your kidneys, and can cause your kidneys to stop working properly. This study will test an experimental drug named BION-1301. BION-1301 is a new drug that is being developed for treating people like you with IgAN. the study last for about 3 years. BION-1301 or the placebo will be given to you by SubCu injection every 2 weeks for 104 weeks or you may be able to administer at home. Study visits are about every 4 weeks at the beginning, and then every 12 weeks.

Criteria:

Adults Older Than 18, With A Biopsy-Proven Diagnosis Of Iga Within The Past 10 Years. Egfr >30, And Total Protein >1 G Per Day, And Upcr >0.7 G/G. Men And Women Of Childbearing Potential Must Agree To Use Study-Required Birth Control. Other Treatments For Iga Are Generally Not Allowed.
