Clubhouse De-Escalation Study

De-escalation is the use of verbal and non-verbal techniques to maintain safety with the goal of helping people calm themselves. This study involves a 15-30 minute training with pre- and post- surveys. We will be surveying Clubhouse members and staff of the Ohio Clubhouses. To conduct trainings, we will either travel to Clubhouses in or hold Zoom meetings. Trainings followed by optional interviews to acquire qualitative data regarding how the training is translated to practice.
