Free Integrative Medicine Seminars Hosted by West Chester Hospital June 22 & 26

West Chester, OH—June 3, 2013—Integrative medicine, also known as complementary or alternative medicine, is described as medical practice that seeks to combine the benefits of Western scientific medicine with a broader understanding of the nature of illness, healing and wellness of the body, mind and spirit.

Not only does integrative medicine introduce many advantages to overall health and wellness, some medical conditions commonly respond positively to integrative medicine techniques including chronic pain, stress, obesity, anxiety, insomnia, diabetes, digestive issues and cancer.

West Chester Hospital will host free seminars to help educate the community about integrative medicine. The seminars will feature physicians who specialize in this unique area of health care.

A variety of topics will be discussed, with answers provided to the following questions: What is integrative medicine? What advantages does it bring to overall health and wellness? How does it complement traditional medical treatment? What tips can people apply to achieve overall wellness? Other subjects that will be discussed include proper nutrition, vitamin supplementation in the treatment of chronic disease and the development of a lifelong vitamin regime.
