Melissa Erickson, MD joined UC Health’s Primary Care in 2014 with the mission of developing long-term relationships with the Greater Cincinnati community and focusing on prevention of disease. Dr. Erickson attended the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and was a family medicine resident at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Upon the completion of this residency, she stayed in Indianapolis to serve the community as a primary care physician. Shortly after the birth of her first child, she served as a part-time urgent care physician. In 2012, Dr. Erickson and her family moved back to Cincinnati.
Dr. Erickson diligently listens to her patients to develop treatment and prevention plans that are evidence-based. She enjoys seeing children and adults of all ages in the Cincinnati area. Also, she has a special interest in cancer survivorship. She works to ensure that patients with a history of cancer receive both appropriate cancer surveillance and optimal care of chronic health issues that may be related to their history and/or treatment of cancer.
In her spare time, Dr. Erickson enjoys reading, biking, playing the clarinet, gardening, and going to Cincinnati Reds games. Most of all, she loves spending time with her husband and young son and daughter.
