CEU Reimbursement
UC Health recognizes the importance of continuing education for their associates. As part of the ICD-10 implementation project, Certified Medical Coders who are employed by UC Health will be eligible for continuing education credits required to maintain their current certification. Medical Coders can be reimbursed up to $300 during a calendar year for their CEUs.

Paid onsite ICD-10 training
UC Health is a learning organization at all levels. As we move forward with the next generation of Medical Record Coding, we will provide all of our associates the opportunity to learn ICD-10 coding during paid time. Options for the training and education are being developed and associates will be given choices on how to take the classes.
Flex Scheduling
UC Health maintains a Flexible Workplace Policy. After orientation and your introductory period, you will have some opportunity to work with your manager on scheduling options to meet your needs and those of the Medical Records department
Opportunities to work from home
The majority of our current certified coders have chosen to work from home. After your introductory period, certified coders may choose to work from home.
Paid Certification
For those newly employed coding staff not yet certified, UC Health will pay the cost of materials, exam, and certification.
