Dr. Lisa Wenstrup has been an audiologist with the University of Cincinnati Department of Otolaryngology-Division of Audiology since 2003. She was recently appointed to Cochlear Implant Coordinator in 2012. She is also an adjunct professor with the University Of Cincinnati College Of Allied Health Sciences.
Dr. Wenstrup was born in the small town of Wheeling, West Virginia and grew up in Bellaire, Ohio. She completed her undergraduate work at West Liberty University where she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in communication sciences and disorders. She then obtained a scholarship to attend the University of Cincinnati’s graduate program in Audiology. Upon obtaining a Master of Arts in Audiology, Lisa completed her clinical fellowship year at Montgomery Ear Nose and Throat in Cincinnati Ohio. She was honored when she was able to return to the University of Cincinnati Department of Otolaryngology-Division of Audiology in July of 2003. While working full time she also obtained a clinical doctorate in Audiology in 2008. She focused on clinical audiology for the past 9 years with a specialty in cochlear implants. Dr. Wenstrup is proud to work for the University of Cincinnati and is honored to work with patients with hearing loss.
Her research interests include cochlear implants, hearing preservation with cochlear implants, process improvement within a clinical setting, and evidence-based practices.
