Emerlee Timmerman, MD, subspecializes in behavioral neurology. She enjoys the science behind the practice, but, more importantly, she feels that she can spend more time with her patients to appropriately diagnose and manage these diseases and help guide them and their families through the care journey.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Timmerman spends her time researching prevention and treatment for Alzheimer’s disease, frontotemporal dementia and dementia with Lewy bodies.
Prior to becoming a neurologist, Dr. Timmerman grew up on a farm in North Dakota. She spends her free time playing the piano, solving puzzles, spending time with her two dogs and enjoying the arts (ballet and all forms of dance, musicals, orchestra, opera, etc.).
