Uzair Ahmed Qazi, MD

Uzair Qazi, MD, is a compassionate and skilled plastic surgeon with a focus on burns and hand surgery. With years of experience and a philosophy of treating patients like family, Dr. Qazi is committed to providing personalized care and education to help patients make informed decisions about their health.

In addition to burns and hand surgeries, Dr. Qazi works closely with other clinical teams, including orthopedics, breast, general surgery, critical care, anesthesia, emergency medicine, ophthalmology, ENT and OMFS. He has a special interest in acute and chronic burn, burn reconstruction, burn contracture release, hand surgery, flexor tendon reconstruction, hand contractures and peripheral nerve compression.

He has done a double fellowship in hand and microsurgery from the Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery, and a burn surgery fellowship from Indiana University. He was also recognized as the Best Resident Researcher in 2014 and was the recipient of the Fellowship Award for Educational Commitment in 2018 from the Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery. Dr. Qazi is an active member of national and international medical associations. His research interest focuses on wound care and rehabilitation, which he believes is important for patients and referring physicians.

Dr. Qazi is passionate about healthcare because of the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients and to make a positive impact on society. His approach towards patients is cordial and detailed.

Dr. Qazi is fluent in multiple languages, including Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi, which allows him to connect with a wider range of patients.
