Nilesh Patil, MD, Associate Professor of Urology, specializes in minimally invasive surgery (robotic surgery) in treating urologic malignancies like prostate, kidney and bladder cancer. Dr.Patil completed his urology residency in Mumbai, India. His research fellowship at the Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio in 2007 involved research in prostate cancer treatment and robotic technology. He also completed a Robotic Oncology fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan from 2008-2010. In his career, he has worked with pioneers in Robotic Oncology like Dr. Mani Menon and Dr.Vipul Patel.
Dr.Patil has published extensively on prostate cancer and robotic surgery. He has to his credit over 50 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and abstracts published in national and international journals. He has presented his work in prostate cancer at various national and international meetings.
