Dr. Lenchitz graduated from Cornell University with distinction in all subjects. After completing Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey, he moved to Cincinnati in 1985 to train at the UC Medical Center and completed 5 years of residency there in surgery and medicine. In 1990, he joined the Division of General Internal Medicine as a clinician-educator and has since become Associate Professor. Dr. Lenchitz strives to teach cost-effective, safe, evidence-based and patient-centric health care and to impart this to every resident, student, colleague and patient with which he associates. He has always been committed to improving the health of every one of us. He remains a vocal and active proponent of improving the quality of healthcare for our entire community and has received recognition for this service from the local health collaborative, which represents all of the major hospital systems.

Dr. Lenchitz is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, and Board Certified in Internal Medicine for the past 23 years. His expertise resides with management of diabetes, hypertension, asthma and obesity. However, he has experience in all fields of general internal medicine.

Although Dr. Lenchitz has no immediate relatives in Ohio, he is blessed with two healthy, smart and wonderful children and a truly exceptional wife. His interests include exercise, all outdoor activities, travel, especially the desert Southwest, and the culinary arts.
