Mohamed Kamel, MD

Mohamed Kamel, MD, developed a passion for treating urologic oncology patients throughout his training, and enjoys having the opportunity to help someone live a better life. He specializes in cancers of the prostate, kidney, adrenal, bladder, testis and penis, and has been in practice for more than 20 years. He completed his residency at The Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland, studying urology before going on to complete his urologic oncology fellowship at the University of Miami in Florida. During his urology residency training at The Royal College of Surgeons, Dr. Kamel won the Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland Research Award in the urology/nephrology category for three consecutive years. Additionally, he published the outcomes of performing robotic radical prostatectomies in prostate cancer patients on an outpatient basis. This research was published in the prestigious Journal of the Society of Urologic Oncology (2020). He recently published the outcomes of robotic partial nephrectomies in kidney cancer patients, with a focus on obese patients in the Journal of the Society of Endourology (2020). Currently, Dr. Kamel is studying the outcomes of robotic radical cysto-prostatectomies in bladder cancer patients, with a focus on elderly (over 70 years old) patients outcomes. Outside of work, he enjoys running and reading history books.
