BJ Johnson, MD

Dr. Johnson specializes in general and minimally invasive gastrointestinal and hernia surgery, complex abdominal wall reconstruction, as well as bariatric and metabolic surgery. He served his residency in surgery at the University of Cincinnati, and then underwent fellowship training in advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques including laparoscopic, robotic, and Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (SILS) at the University of Texas at Houston. Dr. Johnson specializes in general surgery as well as bariatric and metabolic surgery for pre- and post-transplant patients enrolled in the Transplant Related Interdisciplinary Metabolic Surgery (TRIMS) programthe only program of its kind in the Midwest. He is certified in surgery by the American Board of Surgery. His primary practice sites are UC Medical Center, the VA Medical Center, and West Chester Hospital.
