Tammy Holm, MD, PhD, F.A.C.S., comes from Newton Wellesley Hospital (Newton, MA) and has joined the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine as an assistant professor of surgery in the Department of Surgical Oncology with a dual appointment in Cancer Biology.
Her lab at UC is dedicated to understanding the dual role of autophagy and the inflammatory microenvironment in the development of thyroid cancer. From a clinical research standpoint, Dr. Holm is interested in studying the quality of life outcomes and disparities in the management of endocrine disease (thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands).
Dr. Holm received her medical degree and doctorate at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency and fellowship at Harvard Medical School.
