Angela Dionisio is a licensed and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association-certified speech pathologist who specializes in voice and swallowing disorders with a focus on gender-affirming voice rehabilitation for transgender populations and head and neck cancer rehabilitation. and total laryngectomy voice and swallow rehabilitation. She completed her Master of Science at New York University (NYU) and her specialized fellowship in voice and swallowing disorders in 2022 with the UC Health Voice and Swallowing Center. Her certifications include the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Myofascial release therapy for the head and neck, Modified Barium Swallow Impairment Profile (MBSImP), and Lee Silverman Voice Treatment-LOUD (LSVT).
Angela supervises and trains speech-language pathology graduate students. She has also been an invited speaker for graduate-level courses and multidisciplinary teams to advocate for the role of the speech-language pathologist in managing swallowing disorders in head and neck cancer patients and gender-affirming care for transgender patients.
Her clinical research interests focus on laryngectomy care and gender-affirming care. She is currently working on a retrospective study of tracheoesophageal puncture candidacy factors for total laryngectomy patients.
In her free time, she likes to read, play volleyball or pickleball, and spend time with friends and family.
