Greg Dion, MD, is a laryngologist who specializes in endoscopic and open airway surgery. He began his career in medical device design, where he contributed to five U.S. Patents and numerous invention disclosures. This specialized training, paired with a residency in Otolaryngology--Head and Neck Surgery and a fellowship in Laryngology, has led to more than 60 peer-reviewed publications, numerous book chapters and multimedia presentations, and a variety awards at local, region, national and even international scientific meetings.
Dr. Dion has secured more than $2.25 million in Department of Defense voice and airway research funding. He continues in his passion of teaching undergraduate students, graduate students, post-doctoral students, medical students and residents. Prior to joining UC Health, he served as a surgeon-scientist, laryngologist and associate Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Residency program director at the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research and Brooke Army Medical Center in Texas.
