An experienced nursing administrator, Bokovitz has worked as a chief nursing executive for more than 15 years, most recently at St. Anthony’s Health Care in St. Louis. She joined UC Health on April 16.
“I am thrilled to join UC Health and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, with its long history of medical innovation and compassionate patient care,” Bokovitz said. “I look forward to getting to know the hospital, the health system and the community.”
Bokovitz will oversee patient care services at UC Medical Center and will have oversight of the hospital’s inpatient nursing services. She will also serve as a member of the UC Health Chief Nursing Officer Council and represent the academic health system’s nurses in system-wide initiatives.
“Beverly has worked in large academic and community medical center settings and has proven experience in driving improved quality, patient experience, financial performance and employee engagement,” said Rick Shumway, vice president and chief administrative officer at UC Medical Center. “We are excited to welcome her to UC Health and to Cincinnati.”
Bokovitz holds a master’s degree in nursing from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Waynesburg University in Pittsburgh.
