The list recognizes hospitals that provide outstanding patient experience and garner extraordinary loyalty from patients.
“At UC Health, we put patients and families first in all that we do, and we are proud when that is recognized by those we serve,” said Ann Smith, senior vice president for inpatient services at UC Health and interim chief administrative officer for UC Medical Center.
The 2019 NRC Health Consumer Loyalty Award is the first and only loyalty-based hospital ranking in the U.S. UC Medical Center was honored based on results from NRC Health’s Market Insights survey, the largest database of healthcare consumer responses in the country.
NRC Health surveys more than 310,000 households in the contiguous U.S., measuring their engagement with healthcare brands in their communities. Organizations that win the Consumer Loyalty Award score exceedingly well on seven different metrics of patient loyalty, including access, engagement, experience, and net promoter score.
“UC Medical Center and the other outstanding healthcare facilities included in the Consumer Loyalty Awards list are leading the way toward a new elevated standard for the patient and consumer experience,” said Brian Wynne, vice president and general manager at NRC Health. “This award recognition is a reflection of the trust UC Health has built with its patient communities, and speaks to the exceptional work being done by UC Health to provide compassionate care and inspire consumer loyalty.”
UC Health serves more than 435,000 unique patients each year across four inpatient campuses, including UC Medical Center, as well as 58 outpatient locations. Last year, more than 1.8 million visits and admissions were recorded across the health system.
The 2019 NRC Health Consumer Loyalty Award winners were publicly announced at the 25th annual NRC Health Symposium in Nashville, Tennessee in August.
