The acquisition means that a team of four oral surgeons who are a part of the region’s only academic health system will be available to see patients in this office. UC Health currently has three other oral surgery office locations, offering the most novel treatments in advanced care. This team includes Dr. Grau’s son, Michael Grau Jr., DMD, UC Health oral surgeon and assistant professor of clinical surgery director at the UC College of Medicine. Dr. Grau Sr. previously served patients in the local community for 40 years.
“It’s been a pleasure to serve patients across Cincinnati throughout the course of my practice. I am delighted that the expertise and excellence I endeavored to deliver to my patients will continue under the direction of UC Health,” Dr. Grau said. He leaves large shoes to fill, having cared for patients of all ages and having served generations of families in the area. His wealth of knowledge was a benefit to the community and peers alike.
Prior to joining UC Health, Dr. Grau Jr., served eight years of active duty in the United States Navy, achieving the rank of commander before receiving an honorable discharge. He practices a broad scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with special interest in implants, facial trauma and reconstruction.
