UC Health Air Care & Mobile Care

History

Air Care & Mobile Care has provided the Greater Cincinnati area with specialized medical transport services for patients in our community for over -40 years. Our program comprises a staff of 120 employees from diverse professional backgrounds and is the only medical transportation service in the region to provide five levels of care. The continuum of transportation options spans from wheelchair service to air medical. UC Health Air Car air transport with emergency/flight-trained resident physicians and highly trained dual-certified flight nurses on every flight. UC Health also offers 4 levels of ground transport: Mobile Intensive Care, Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support, and Wheelchair services. Our Mobile Stroke Units is the first of its kind in the region, providing advanced stroke care in collaboration with local EMS.

Accreditation

Accredited in all four levels of medical transport

Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Services (CAMTS) is the highest standard by which medical transport services are measured and is similar to the Joint Commission oversight for hospitals. CAMTS has continued to recognize our service for levels of excellence in many areas, including quality management, community service and medical directorship. This continued recognition over the years by CAMTS and other similar agencies demonstrates our commitment to our patients, as well as our community.
