  • Can I donate items/give in kind?

Yes. UC Health Foundation encourages and appreciates gifts-in-kind that the health system would otherwise need to purchase. Through gifts-in-kind, supporters help the system strengthen programs and improve facilities to provide the best possible healthcare to our patients. Unlike contributions of cash or securities, in-kind gifts allow donors to receive the benefit of a charitable contribution without drawing on their cash reserves.

All gifts-in-kind are reviewed, accepted, and officially acknowledged. Prior to acceptance, the gift is reviewed to see if it meets the system’s needs. Though rare, there are instances where we may need to decline a gift that does not further our goals or involves special maintenance, is prohibited by regulation or requires other conditions that we would be unable to satisfy.
