Functional Nasal Surgery

Difficulty breathing through the nose is a very common problem. In some cases, the cause of blocked nasal breathing is the position of structures inside the nose.

Nasal blockage can lead to mouth breathing, bad breath, snoring, poor compliance with sleep apnea machines, and poor exercise tolerance.

Functional nasal surgery is designed to realign and support the nasal structures to open the nasal airway. This may include:

  • Aligning the nasal septum
  • Supporting the nasal valve
  • Opening the sidewalls
  • Reducing the nasal turbinates
