The UC Cancer Institute is a sponsor of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. We invite you to walk/run with us, or visit our booth at the event!
There will be a competitive 5K run and a 5K walk, beginning at 4:30 p.m. This event raises awareness for the breast cancer movement while honoring those who have lost their lives battling the disease and celebrating those who have survived. 100% of the net proceeds from the event go to the mission of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Series, and 75% of the income stays in our community to help fund local breast cancer programs. In addition, this year the Cincinnati chapter of Komen donated an additional $150,000 to the University of Cincinnati for the research team led by Joan Garrett, PhD.
