Stroke Studies Show New Treatment No Better Than Older One

At the 2013 International Stroke Conference in Honolulu, Dr. Joseph Broderick presented the findings of a study that revealed mechanically removing a blood clot from a stroke patient’s brain is no more useful than the older treatment of giving an IV dose of the clot-busting drug, tPA, to the whole body.
